Arborètum Park

Arborètum Park

A scenic path leads to a park showcasing diverse Catalan trees, from lowlands to Pyrenees, and includes a children's play area.

This is a complex of green spaces comprising Antoni Gaudí Avenue and the Arboretum Park, situated around the library, the music school and the Cultural Centre. The avenue is a wide, exclusively pedestrianised thoroughfare, perfect for a peaceful, leisurely stroll. There is also a vast, shady area of American oaks. The Arboretum Park combines sunny, tree-lined meadows with denser, shadier groves. This creates different atmospheres within the same space and offers sweeping views towards Collserola and the Monastery. There are also various species of trees, including holm oaks, pines, oaks and firs, specimens representing different areas of Catalan vegetation, from the lowlands to the Pyrenees. The venue features a large open space that hosts a wide range of social and cultural activities of all kinds: the circus, the town festival, Christmas events, the Pequeños Camaleones and many more. Points of interest Views of the Royal Monastery of Sant Cugat and Tibidabo The American oaks on Avenida Gaudí: the promenade is lined with a row of listed American red oaks, which provide shade and character to the area, particularly in autumn, when the foliage takes on shades of yellow and red. Oak trees in L’Arborètum Park: a group of four large specimens of Cerrioides oak, the most common oak species in the Sant Cugat region, found in abundance in Collserola and the surrounding area.
