Sanatori del Fumet

Sanatori del Fumet

A villa with central-European architecture, featuring terraced gardens with pines and holm oaks, originally intended as a tuberculosis sanatorium.
This villa was inspired by central-European architecture and was constructed by the builder Josep Graner i Prat. It was commissioned in 1926 by a German doctor as a sanatorium for people with tuberculosis. The garden features an interesting series of terraces and levels planted with pines and holm oaks. The house was never used for its original purpose because of the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War.
