The Guinardera Pond is a small urban oasis where nature, water and wildlife coexist in harmony. The site was created to manage rainwater and regulate the local stream; over the years, it has become a genuine natural space. A path running around the perimeter allows visitors to explore the area at their leisure and observe nature up close without disturbing its balance. It is a popular spot for families, walkers and school groups, who find it the perfect place to discover how wetland ecosystems work, gain a better understanding of the water cycle and learn about biodiversity in a simple and engaging way. Younger children can enjoy watching the waterbirds and fish that live in the pond. Points of interest: Shaded seating area: viewpoint overlooking the Pantalán pond: offers a different perspective of the pond. Floating islands within the pond: lightweight platforms made of floating materials, planted with plant species capable of thriving with their roots submerged. These roots filter nutrients and pollutants and play a key role in improving water quality and creating habitats for wildlife such as birds, insects, amphibians and fish.
