Circular route from FGC Sant Cugat
A circular route in the south of Sant Cugat, starting and finishing at Lluís Millet Square, opposite the 'Sant Cugat Centre' FGC station.
START · FGC 'Sant Cugat Centre' station (Lluís Millet Square) Begin the route at Lluís Millet Square, opposite the FGC 'Sant Cugat Centre' station. Go down Ángel Guimerà Street to the Ribatallada Esplanade and turn left onto Verdi Street. During this first section, you will see, on the right, the Sant Cugat golf course, situated on the grounds of the former Can Mora vineyard estate. Head up Verdi Street to Llaceres Street, which marks the southern boundary of Sant Cugat with Collserola. Turn left, pass under the Costa del Golf housing development and continue to the Rabassada Road. Cross it with care to reach the Hermitage of the Holy Christ of Llaceres. Continue along Llaceres Street and, if you wish, take a small detour onto the path that leads into the Llaceres stream before returning to the main road. This area combines small woodlands, open fields and streams, a landscape mosaic of great value for the biodiversity of the Collserola foothills. When you reach the small roundabout, turn left onto Gaudí Avenue and proceed under the shade of the oaks until you enter the Arboretum Park. Cross this green space, passing behind the Gabriel Ferrater Central Library, the Theatre-Auditorium and the Sant Cugat Cinema, until you exit onto Torre Blanca Avenue. At the roundabout, turn right onto Pla del Vinyet Avenue and continue to the Rotary International Square, one of the main entrances to the Collserola Natural Park, heading towards the Pi d'en Xandri, the Can Borrell farmhouse and the Hermitage of Sant Medir. At this point, the Sant Medir stream and the Llaceres stream converge to form the Sant Cugat stream. From the roundabout, take the Avinguda de les Corts Catalanes, leaving the open space of Can Calders on your right. On the left, you will find Pollancreda Park. Enter through the pedestrian walkway next to the skatepark and follow the path that crosses the park's stream over a small bridge. Once on the other side, leave the Pollancreda Park and cross the Celler Rambla until you reach the Jardins del Vallès, where you will find an amphitheatre and several murals related to the history and community life of the neighbourhood. Head down the Rambla del Celler, a landscaped promenade with a long cycle path, and turn left to enter Ramon Barnils Park. This space has water, shade, tables and a children's play area. Cross it and exit onto Pla del Vinyet Avenue, heading towards the Pilar Roig Gardens and Plaça de l'Onze de Setembre. At Plaça de l'Onze de Setembre, on the corner with Avinguda de Gràcia, take the small footpath that goes down to the right to Rambla de Can Mora. Go under the bridge on Avinguda de Gràcia and continue upstream, passing through Plaça de Can Quitèria. Cross the square and continue along the Rambla de Can Mora, a pedestrianised section that passes in front of the El Patufet nursery school, until you reach Doctor Murillo Street. Turn right, pass through the Plaça dels Jocs Florals and continue uphill to the junction with Valldoreix Street. Turn left onto Valldoreix Street and follow it until you return to Lluís Millet Square, in front of the FGC 'Sant Cugat Centre' station, the end point of this circular route.
